[X-Rated] Marks the Plot
German officials have released information about a cache of secret Al Qaeda documents they discovered embedded in digitized adult films. The documents outline plans for future terror plots and other operations. This treasure trove of data was found on the person of a 22-year-old Austrian named Maqsood Lodin. While being interrogated by police in Berlin after a suspicious trip to Pakistan, authorities discovered a digital storage device stuffed in his underwear. That device turned out to be filled with pornographic videos. In-depth examination of these videos (cough) led to the discovery of a cache of encrypted files, providing valuable insight into plots and plans of the terror network. Some of these plots included hijacking luxury ships and other planned high-profile attacks. While the technology used to hide the files was impressive, the clearly flawed plan didn't account for the fact that digital porn may be the worst possible place to hide things from German police.
