Peyton Placed
After months of speculation, former Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has chosen his new team: the Denver Broncos. Having narrowed it down to three teams last week (the Broncos, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers), his final decision was announced this morning. Barring any contract shenanigans, Manning should sign with the Broncos shortly and be named the team's starting quarterback going into the 2012 season. The expectation is that the Broncos will trade the wildly popular fan favorite Tim Tebow, unless he can make some kind of exciting, last-second comeback to reclaim his starting role. And we all know that's possible. Manning is said to have chosen Denver in large part because of his excellent rapport with the team's VP of Football Operations, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway. Plus, as the only two NFL teams with horse mascots, the transition from Colts to Broncos should be an easy one.
