Fight Makes Right

Senator John McCain came out today encouraging the U.S. to take military action against the Syrian government, which has been conducting a campaign of brutal violence against its own citizens. A true humanitarian disaster, the situation in Syria has been getting worse by the week with President Bashar Assad refusing to step down and the Syrian uprising posing little matched to the heavily armed Syrian military. The international community has been putting pressure on Assad to stop the bloodshed, but a war-weary U.S. and NATO are hesitant to step into the fight. McCain's statement comes as little surprise considering his strong stances on continued occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as rhetoric about attacking Iran, North Korea and any other country that looks at us funny.
