Boom Town

Residents of the small town of Clintonville, WI, have been experiencing a strange and rather creepy series of thunderous booms in the middle of night. The sounds seem to be coming from underground and have been powerful enough to cause dishes and picture frames to rattle and shake. Seismologists and engineers have been called in to investigate. Theories ranging from mundane things like sewer gas and construction to more X-Files-esque speculation of military or secret mining operations have been ruled out. An answer may never be found and mystery may surround the town for decades. Or, like so many things, it could turn out to be the fault of punk kids and their loud "rock n' roll" music.
